Madera MAX vs. Reveal MAX Banquet & Meeting Tables

Escrito por Kristin Cooke | |9 min de leitura

The clean, elegant look of linenless event tables is in high demand. Not only are they attractive and trendy, but linenless tables also save your staff time and money on linens for each event. These commercial folding tables are made with a laminate tabletop, often in faux wood designs, faux marble patterns, or solid colors.

MityLite linenless tables are exceptionally designed for style and durability. Two of our best-selling laminate tables are the Madera MAX Tables e a Revelar tabelas MAX. Both tables boast sleek, modern designs that don’t need to be covered by linens. These commercial laminate tables are ideal for meeting rooms, conferences, formal events, and more. However, since these tables are made from different materials, they have varying prices and distinct advantages.

Let’s compare these two folding table styles to determine which would be best for your property.

Aesthetics: Reveal MAX Is #1

The Madera MAX and the Reveal MAX Tables are similar in style, both boasting sleek laminate tabletops, a powder-coated (painted) frame, and folding legs. However, the tabletops are made from different types of laminate—the Reveal MAX has a Wilsonart® compact laminate tabletop in a wide range of colors and finishes, while the Madera MAX tabletop is made of thermally fused laminate in a more limited range of colors.

The tables both feature steel frames with folding legs, but the legs are different. The Madera MAX features standard folding legs, while the Reveal MAX is designed with upscale, post-style legs.

The Reveal MAX is available in 21 laminate colors—ranging from faux wood finishes like White Barn, Studio Teak, Veranda Teak, and Skyline Walnut, to faux stone and marble like Oiled Soapstone and White Carrara. Designers appreciate Reveal MAX for its wide range of laminate colors, which can accent modern or traditional interiors.

Durability: Reveal MAX Is #1

When comparing commercial tables made with thermally fused laminate tabletops (like the Madera MAX) to those made with compact, high-pressure laminate tabletops (like the Reveal MAX), several key benefits stand out.

The Madera MAX’s thermally fused laminate tabletops are more cost-effective, since this tabletop material is so much less expensive than compact laminate. This makes the Madera MAX ideal for places like hotel lobbies, reception desks, and hallways, where the furniture needs to be stylish but won’t be heavily used or abused by guests. The Madera MAX is mildly scratch and heat-resistant but can be damaged if care is not taken. Hot food, direct sunshine, and sharp objects can damage the surface.

The compact, high-pressure laminate tabletop of the Reveal MAX, on the other hand, is much more resistant to heat, scratches, and impact damage. Although almost twice as expensive as thermally fused laminate, it’s also twice as durable. The higher price of the Reveal MAX’s compact, high-pressure laminate tabletop is worth it for many properties because this table is so very durable. The Reveal MAX is the best choice for high-traffic areas where the table’s durability will be tested, like conference rooms, bars, and restaurantes.

Price: Madera MAX Is #1

The biggest advantage the Madera MAX Table line has over the Reveal MAX is price. The cost difference between these two commercial folding tables is due to the tabletop materials and the folding legs. Madera MAX Tables are made with thermally fused laminate, while Reveal MAX is made with a higher-grade laminate material: high-pressure, compact laminate.

The material cost accounts for the noticeable price difference between the tables. Madera MAX tables are almost half the price of the Reveal MAX folding tables. For example, the price for a rectangular 30” by 72” Madera MAX Table is $688. The cost for the same-sized Reveal MAX Table is $1,258.

Taking Care of Madera MAX & Reveal MAX Tables

Designed for regular commercial use, the Madera MAX and Reveal MAX Tables are easy to care for and clean. While they are resistant to stains and water damage, lighter-colored surfaces can be stained by coffee, tea, wine, food coloring, tomato sauce, berries, and other vividly colored foods and drinks.

Daily disinfecting

In busy commercial environments, regular disinfecting is essential. Make sure that cleansers will not damage the laminate. Any of the following products will sanitize without damaging the laminate.

  • Clorox® Sanitizing Spray
  • Clorox® Clean-Up Cleaner + Bleach
  • Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach
  • Clorox® Disinfecting Spray
  • Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes
  • Lysol® Professional Disinfecting Spray
  • Purell™ Food Surface Sanitizer
  • Simple Green® All-Purchase Cleaner
  • Spic and Span Everyday® Antibacterial Cleaner

Heavier cleaning solutions

For a heavy-duty cleaning job, any of the following cleaning solutions will be effective on Madera MAX and Reveal MAX tabletops.

For a heavy-duty cleaning job, any of the following cleaning solutions will be effective on Madera MAX and Reveal MAX tabletops.

  • Windex®
  • Vidro Plus®
  • Fantastik®
  • Senhor Limpo®
  • Fórmula 409®
  • Álcool isopropílico (isopropanol)

Cleaners to avoid on laminate-topped tables

Do NOT use cleansers with any of the following ingredients on a Madera MAX or Reveal MAX Table, as they will damage the finish.

Stain removal

Periodic deep cleaning of these commercial laminate tables may be needed, from time to time.

  • Table frames and folding legs can be wiped down with a sponge dipped in a mild solution of 3 tablespoons dish soap to 1 gallon of warm water. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
  • To clean the tabletop, apply a mixture of dish soap and water to the surface using a soft cloth. The cloth should be damp, but not dripping wet. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and wipe dry.
  • Difficult stains, such as coffee or tea, can be removed using a mild household cleaner and a soft-bristled brush. If a stain persists, use a paste of baking soda and water, then apply it to the affected area with a soft-bristled brush (a toothbrush works great). A light scrubbing of 10 to 20 strokes should remove most stains. Although baking soda is a low abrasive cleaner, excessive scrubbing or exerting too much force could damage the decorative surface.
