If you’re considering linenless folding tables for your commercial property, you will come across two options from MityLite that sound very similar: the Reveal and the Reveal MAX. Both folding tables feature a modern design with sleek laminate tabletops. They’re available in multiple sizes and shapes. And all of them are ideal for business conferences, banquets, meeting rooms, hotels, restaurants, and other commercial events.
However, these commercial folding tables are designed to meet different needs. Knowing the difference between them can help your property get the right table for a showstopping guest impression.
So, what is the difference between the Reveal and the Reveal MAX Tables? Let’s compare these two tables and explore the differences so you can make the best choice for your property.
Laminate Material
One primary difference between the Reveal and the Reveal MAX folding tables lies in the tabletop material: they’re made of different types of laminate.
The Reveal MAX is made of the most durable laminate material—Wilsonart® compact laminate, which is more than 2 mm thick (compared to 0.7 mm for high-pressure laminate). Compact laminate is engineered to resist stains, heat, UV damage, and bacteria. And thanks to its multi-layered and thicker-than-normal construction, it is also extremely impact-resistant. These qualities make the Reveal MAX Tables the best choice for properties in humid climates and for environments where spills and accidents are prone to happen. The superior tabletop material also means that Reveal MAX Tables can be used outside for short periods of time, such as for outdoor events (although Reveal MAX Tables should not be left outside overnight).
The Reveal tabletop is made of high-pressure laminate (also known as HPL). HPL is more durable than standard laminate but isn’t as thick as compact laminate, making it slightly more prone to damage. Reveal Tables shouldn’t ever be taken outdoors, even onto patios, since the tabletop surface can be damaged by UV rays, and the surface can be susceptible to mold and mildew in humid climates.
Leg Styles
The Reveal and Reveal MAX both offer a sleek, modern look. These folding tables are upscale and don’t require linens for a polished, professional appearance. But they cater to different types of events, and the leg styles indicate their most popular uses.
If you are comparing just the rectangular tables side by side, you can see that the Reveal tables feature a conference leg style that makes them ideally suited to business conferences and meetings. Reveal folding tables are designed to always be used indoors—they aren’t intended for outdoor weddings or events.
Reveal MAX tables, on the other hand, offer the same foldable convenience as Reveal tables, but they are designed to withstand occasional moisture. Reveal MAX Tables can be taken outdoors for events (for short-term use) or used indoors.
Price Differences
The Reveal MAX Tables are priced slightly higher than Reveal Tables—about 5% higher, on average. The list price of the 18” by 60” Reveal MAX table is $1,004, compared to the list price on the 18” by 60” table of $956. This increased cost is due to the higher-grade materials used in the Reveal MAX, which makes it an occasional outdoor table as well as an indoor table. Both tables are built for durability and style, but if you want the option of using the tables in an outdoor patio area, the Reveal MAX will be the wiser choice. If you already have outdoor tables, or don’t have outdoor areas, then the Reveal folding tables will certainly dazzle at all your indoor events.
